Terms of service

1. The short version

Sphere Cinema is a platform for filmmakers and audiences. You can upload your own work, watch other people's work, sell films, and collaborate through casting and watch parties. These terms set out what we agree to provide and what you agree not to do.

2. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old to sign up. You're responsible for the activity on your account, keep your password to yourself and let us know promptly if you think it's been compromised.

3. Content you upload

When you upload a film, casting call, or any other content, you warrant that you have the rights to publish it. You retain ownership of your work, we get a non-exclusive license only to host, transcode, and stream it to the audiences you choose. The license ends when you delete the content.

Don't upload content that you don't have rights to (someone else's film, music without sync rights, etc.), we'll take it down on a valid DMCA notice and may close your account for repeat infringement.

4. Payments

Paid features (creator plans, film purchases, fan subscriptions) are processed by Stripe. Refunds follow the refund policy. Platform fees and creator payouts are described in your dashboard.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use Sphere Cinema to:

• Harass, threaten, or impersonate other users.
• Upload sexually explicit content involving minors (we report this).
• Scrape, mirror, or republish other creators' work without permission.
• Run bots, ticketing scripts, or rate-limit evasion.

6. Termination

You can close your account from settings at any time, we'll delete or anonymize your personal data per the privacy policy. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, including for repeat copyright violations.

7. Liability

Sphere Cinema is provided "as is." We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, your maximum claim against us in any 12-month period is the amount you paid us in that period.

8. Changes

If we change these terms in a way that meaningfully affects your rights, we'll notify you by email before the change takes effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
