Refund policy
Last updated: 20 May 2026
Film purchases
One-time purchases of films (Rent / Buy) are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, regardless of whether you've started watching. Request the refund from Dashboard → Purchases. The refund is processed by Stripe and typically lands on your card in 5-10 business days.
After 14 days a purchase is final, we can't issue refunds outside the window, but you keep permanent access to anything you've bought. If you believe a film was misrepresented (wrong language track, broken file, mislabeled runtime), contact support and we'll review case-by-case.
Subscriptions
Cancelling a monthly subscription stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the current billing period, we don't pro-rate refunds for unused days.
Cancel from Dashboard → Subscriptions. If a charge fails (expired card, etc.), Stripe will retry for a few days before marking the subscription past-due; you can update your payment method through the billing portal.
Sphere creator plans
Showcase and Monetize plans (the platform tools you pay for as a filmmaker) follow the same rule as fan subscriptions, cancel any time, keep features until end of billing period. Manage from Dashboard → Plan.
Chargebacks
Filing a chargeback without contacting us first may temporarily freeze your account. Please use /help or reply to your receipt, we're nearly always faster than your card issuer, and we'd rather fix the issue than argue with a bank.
Filmmakers receiving funds
When a viewer is refunded, the corresponding payout to the filmmaker is reversed automatically. Stripe handles this through Connect, there's no separate action on your side. The platform fee is also refunded so we're not skimming refunds.
